Glide along the Hawea River Track and Clutha Outlet Track by eBike as you sample awesome local craft beers and maybe a wood fired pizza or two.

Wanaka has some of the best craft beer breweries and we have a way to get to three of them and more.

You will be picked up from to your accommodation at 11am. We take a quick 20 minute drive to Gladstone, a secret spot only locals know. After we set you up on your eBikes, you will go on a beautiful and easy 6 km ride around Lake Hawea to your first stop the Hawea Hotel. Enjoy a short rest in the garden with a taste of craft beer and an spectacular view at the lake. But don't rest too long, you have only just begun.

Next stop is Hook Wanaka which is 15 km away. Hook offers a lake fishing experience, but more importantly a great selection of local craft beers and Italian style wood fired pizza for lunch.

Now you're ready to hit the breweries which are 12 km away on the beautiful outlet track and into Wanaka town. Make your way to Rhyme and Reason Brewery and enjoy one of their craft beers or perhaps their special of the month. Good news, just across the road is Ground Up Brewery for more great local beers. And more often than not you will find a food truck selling hearty beer snacks just in front of either brewery.

But pace yourself as the last stop is b.social, the taproom of the b.effect brewery. Try a flight of beer or kombucha and enjoy some great food to close out your day.

When you're ready for pick up, just let me know and I will come get you home safe.

Points of Interest along the way

 Lake Hawea
A stunning 20-minute drive from Wanaka is Lake Hawea which borders Mt Aspiring National Park. If you follow this road for another 140kms you will go through Makarora on your way to the West Coast. This long and narrow lake covers 143 square kilometers (469 square miles). It's much quieter than Wanaka and Queenstown and often you can be the only person standing admiring the beauty of the mountainous. Home to some legendary fishing spots, Lake Hawea is an outdoor adventurers’ paradise.
 Hawea  Whitewater Park
The Hawea Wave is a real ride for those that brave the cold water. It's Free to use and has two different grades and a smaller wave at the top, which is fun to learn. The lower or bottom wave is bigger and this is where the pro's come to practice their kayak skills or surfing tricks. On any day you might see three or four people lined up to take their turn.
